Easter Madness

My Dad helped me make this play gym and swing set. We had to build it all in the garage because of the rain. Not a little rain I am talking about flooding. Anyway, we build it then had to carry it to the designated spot. This thing is heavy so you can imagine the muscles we had to use. Good thing we are pretty strong. What can I say we are Clare's, and Daniel. He helped a little.(he he) I think it turned out pretty fantastic, Thanks Dad!

My family came out to visit and we had a great time. It rained a ton but we still were able to have a little fun.

We love to dance. Me and the kids just turn up the music and start to boogy. Emma loves dancing with Shaylee.

Let's Go Fishing!

We decided to go fishing down the road at our neighbors pond. Blake and Shaylee usually love to fish but when they are not biting it isn't very fun. Shaylee kept asking, "Daddy are the fish biting? Check my line." After the tenth time of her asking , he told her if your fishing pole doesn't bend you don't have a fish. Emma was a good sport and stayed in the truck in her exercise saucer.

Nice Sunny Day

Enjoying a warm sunny day, finally.
My children love the outdoors and it
makes us all happier when we can
spend time outside. Emma loved being in the grass and had to try it to see how it tasted. She loved it, so Mom had to be on the lookout when she started gagging. No worries Blake was always one step ahead of me and kept an eye on his sister. He is pretty protective of his little sister. His big sister can hold her own on anything. He looks out for himself with her.

Fashion Statement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't have time to change after working out before I had to pick up Shaylee. So I went to her school to pick her up looking like this. I walked in her room and my daughters mouth dropped wide open. She said, "Mom, I cannot believe you are wearing those shorts. Those are your pajamas and they look disgusting. How embarassing, let's hurry to the car so nobody will see you." I didn't think I looked that bad. I guess I have to worry about not embarassing my five year old. Is it already starting? What am I thinking taking fashion advice from my five year old. She walked down the stairs in this informing me that it is warm outside and she needs to dress accordingly.

Jail-Birds

All the hoodlums were playing up in the loft area and they looked so cute I had to get a picture.

Craft Day

Shaylee had Mackenzie, her cousin, over for a play date. We decided we had to do a craft so I took them to Walmart and let them pick out what they wanted to paint. I thought they would each pick something different, but you know they had to have what the other had. So they each picked a horse to paint and were meticulous when it came time to paint them. I have to admit they did a pretty good job.

Let It Snow

This is what you call a snow day. Yes, we do get off of school for this. I know people in Utah probably laugh at this dusting. Needless to say, my children thought it was so cool and were eating the snow off the trampoline. They were having a blast until Shaylee bounced Blake face first in the snow and then it was no longer fun for Blake. Of course, Shaylee kept bouncing trying to see if he would get used to it after the fifth time his face hit the trampoline. Isn't she so thoughtful?

We just got these adorable pictures taken. Shaylee just absolutely loved getting all dressed up. It was a girls paradise. She got to pick her dress, necklace and hat. What girl wouldn't love playing dress up? Blake, on the other hand, didn't like that he couldn't wear a shirt and especially no shoes. We had to bribe him with ice cream in order for him to just tolerate taking the pictures. Emma could have cared less. Mom was right there next to the photographer making all kinds of funny faces and noises to get these kids to smile. I think he was glad when it was time for us to go, so the crazy mom wasn't making noises right in his ear.

March 01, 2008

Blake, Emma and I decided to go for a walk since it finally hit 60 degrees today. Blake wanted to put Emma in the little car and she thought she was something. She grabbed right on to the steering wheel and let loose. She was just giggling and turning that wheel. Blake just got a kick out of it and said, "doesn't she know I am pushing her". He thought he was quite the big brother pushing her and making her laugh. He wanted to make sure she knew he was the one helping her. On our walk he kept stopping and walking in front of the car to check her seat belt and to make sure she was still enjoying herself. He is quite the protective brother.

Date Night

Grandma and Papa Moo Moo decided to take "the girls" out on a date. Grandma told them to dress up. Let's just say that Shaylee got really into to it. She had to put on her fancy dress, tights and shoes. Do you think she was done, not on your life. She had to have make-up on to go with her decor. I sat her up on the bathroom sink and let her pick out her eyeshadow, lipstick and mascara. She wanted to color her eyebrows too but I had to put a stop somewhere. Then we picked up her cousin Mackenzie and headed to Springfield to meet the Grandparents. They picked up the girls and set off to Steak and Shake. They let the girls order their own shake and they picked Chocolate Banana. Shaylee said it was soooo good she just could not stop eating it. During the meal Shaylee would look over at Papa and say " You are so good looking" he would laugh then give her a drink of his pop. For those of you who are Mom's know where this is going. She then kept looking over at him to let him know how good looking he was just so she could have more pop. She practically drank the whole cup. I think Papa is a softy. Then since Shaylee realizes she can manipulate Papa she works her Magic. "Papa, I have always wanted a flower and my mom never got me one for Valentine's Day. Isn't that so sad, Papa?" Shaylee said. Papa of course then had to buy the two girls pink roses. They both just thought they were Princesses. Needless to say they are definately spoiled by their grandparents.
