Shaylee and Daniel's first Triathalon

Shaylee really wanted to do this mini youth triathalon so Daniel told her he would do it with her. She is not a very good swimmer yet so the swimming was tough. She only had to swim 25 yards but she had never swam across the whole length of the pool. She thought she was going to die and even wanted to cheat and hold onto Daniel's arm. She pulled through and accomplished the swim. Next she took off on her bike and did really well on the bike and run. They had to bike a mile and then run a half mile. We were so proud of her. Her dad was pretty proud of himself too and was telling people that he did a triathalon, didn't mention that it was a youth one!! WE all had to give him a hard time but he was sure great with Shaylee and cheered her a long.Go Shaylee! and Daniel!!

Camping

We had a lot of fun with all of the Clares camping at Black River. It is the perfect spot to camp. You are in a remote area with a river right by you and plenty of places to roam and play. The kids had so much fun with their cousins and couldn't get enough of it. Kayla was just a month old and that was a little crazy. She did really well and we were surpirsed. The drive out to Arizona was long but all the kids did really well. We had fun fishing, hiking, and doing crafts. It had been awhile since we had seen the Clares and it was so good to see all of them.

Uncle Jacob

My children love their Uncle. He wrestles with them and they can't get enough. Thankyou Jacob for being a great brother and a fantastic Uncle for my children.

Blessing Day

Kayla Lillian Goodman was blessed on June 6, 2010. We blessed her so early so that my family could be present for the blessing it was a special day and we are truly blessed to be able to have a healthy little girl be a part of our family. Grandma Clare got her a beautful blessing outfit with shoes, bow and bracelet to go along with it. She looked beautiful!

Baby Kayla has arrived

My babies have to be stubborn coming out. They seem to not be able to come on time and it doesn't make Mom very happy. I was enduced and everything went smooth until I reached an eight. At an eight I started having terrible back labor and it just got worse until she came out. Back Labor is so terrible I don't wish it on anyone. Kayla Lillian was born June 3, 2010 and weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long. She came out with the cord wrapped around her neck. It scared me to not hear her cry at first. The doctors weren't nervous and when she eventually cried it lasted 2 1/2 hours. It was not Fun!! We love our new little addition and the kids can't get enough of her.

That's a lot of Bull!!

Daniel shot this Monster Elk in Colorado with a stick and string two years ago. I didn't realize how massive it really was until we went to pick it up from the taxidermist. It looks pretty awesome and we are real proud of our hunter. After two years we are still eating this enormous beast. This picture does not do it justice but it gives you an idea of how big it is.

You know you are a Redneck if......

You haul hay with a car!!!! We were driving down the interstate today and came across this in the lane next to us. I thought I had seen it all. We started busting up laughing and hurrying to find our camera. When I stuck the camera out the window to capture this moment the couple in the car started waving and grinning from ear to ear. They sure thought they were something and we just couldn't get enough. It was the highlight of our day! lol

Crazy Hair Day

Blake had crazy hair day at school so we had to participate. He doesn't have much hair so we decided to spray paint it Blue with a Green B. He was so proud of it and wore it the entire day.

Mule Colt

This reminds me of the last time I spent with my Grandma. Two mules were born when she was out here and we just had another one born. We named her Milly and she just loves the kids. We haven't had one so friendly before. She will just come right up to Shaylee and the kids. She is a Dunn which is my favorite color of horse.

Pictures of the Kiddos

Our cute little Emma thought these sticks were the most beautiful things. We tried to give her the flowers but the sticks were so much more beautiful.

Trying to take pictures without the kids smiling all weird, not going to happen.

Another attempt, Blake can't quite get it right today. I don't know what to do.

Emma finally has long enough hair to put in pigtails and she looked adorable.

Another missing tooth

Shaylee was suppose to be taking a nap one Sunday afternoon and she knew what she had to do to get out of taking one. Her tooth was barely loose and the little stinker twisted and yanked until she pulled that tooth right out. She wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking if she could keep it. Blake got real serious and said if you keep that tooth the tooth fairy won't have enough teeth to put in our babies mouth. Did you know that is what the tooth fairy does to the teeth she collects? Neither did we!!

Handsome Blake

Blake loves posing for pictures. He loves getting his picture taken.

Emma the Horse Whisperer

Emma is always outside talking to her favorite horse Ice Man. She gets really frustrated when he doesn't listen to her. She loves horses and can't get enough. She is Daniel's right hand man when it comes to taking care of the horses.

Turkey Hunters

Daniel got a turkey one morning and we were all pretty proud of him. My children were so obsessed with the turkey that they were each taking dibs on which part of the bird they got to keep. Shaylee got the tail, Emma didn't want any part of that animal, and Blake got the beard. Yes, I guess my kids are pretty morbid but very proud of their Daddy.

Shaylee went turkey hunting this year. Daniel took her out target shooting and she shot the bullseye every time. He knew she was definately ready. She slept in her clothes and laid on top of her covers so she could get up fast when it was time to go. She is usually not a morning person but the day of the hunt she was up and reasy to go. They got in their place behind the blind at about 5:45a.m. and by 6:15 Shaylee was wanting to get out and find the Turkeys herself. Daniel kept telling her to wait 10 more minutes and about the fourth time she asked he finally gave in.
They probably walked about 10 yards and a Turkey flew down right in front of them. Daniel was so mad and looked at Shaylee and said I told you we should have waited. I told Daniel well you are the Boss you shouldn't have given in to her. Easier said then done I guess. Needless to say they came home seeing one but empty handed.

Easter Egg Hunt

Look at all the Easter eggs we found around our house. Emma kept saying she was so hungry and needed to eat another egg. She would even go up to Daniel feel his arms and say you have big muscles Dad can I have more candy now. She knew how to work it and sneek it. She would have eaten every last bite of candy if we let her.

She found an egg. If it was blue or green she wouldn't pick it up because those were boy colors. Little did she know they all had candy in them.

Looking and helping one another find the eggs.

Shaylee let her brother have the dinosaur eggs. How nice was that?

Emma picked up the egg than decided to give it to Blake so she could have a pink egg. She is definately a girly girl.

Easter Fun!

The Easter bunny came to our house and left little treasures for the kiddos. Blake was sick with a fever and congestion but we still managed to have a great time.

Shaylee got a kite and jumprope from the Easter Bunny. She has been jumping ever since.

Blake got a frisby and kite from the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny shops in the Dollar section of course.

Emma got books, glow sticks and a kite. Those dollar kites did not fly so good and the weather conditions were perfect for kite flying. We might have to invest in a little better kites next year. Come on Easter Bunny!!

We decorated Eggs and Blake was the only one that would pose with his eggs for me. He was a little proud of his eggs and wanted to sleep with them. Mom said, "I don't think so!"

The Zoo

We had a fun time at the Zoo with the Brooks family.

Emma was Tara's sidekick. She wouldn't go anywhere without Tara holding her hand. She was just a little frightened by the giraffes.

We got to get right next to the giraffes and they about licked Shaylee's head right off. You can tell she is a little leary of them.

Posing for the picture. They had a great time even though it was a bit chilly.

My children hamming it up before the Brooks showed up. Shaylee always likes to do the Grandpa Pose so we will dedicate this picture to Grandpa Great.

Nice Weather!!

Bed hair, we just had to show her in all her glory.

Blake and Emma playing in the dirt. She loves playing dinosaurs with him.

Shaylee seeing how high she can go on the swings.

Blake making a mess in the dirt. He loves to pull up our grass.

Emma has to always wear her boots or glass slippers. Today just happened to be the boots. We don't care if it matched at least we got shoes on her.
