Merry Christmas! Boy, is it hard to get everyone smiling and looking at the same time. This is as good as it gets!

We went to see Santa Clause yesterday. Shaylee, had to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas before it was too late. Everytime I asked her what she wanted for Christams from Santa her answer always changed. So it didn't surprise me when Shaylee told Santa something new, a craft. Yes, a craft. I guess Santa has to get something spectacular. She then told him he is not the real Santa unless he has reindeer so where are they? He told her they were on the roof. My daughter is not fooled easily, we had to go outside and see if they were up there. Of course, we could not see them, so Mom had to tell her they were just hiding from her. That seemed to satisfy her for the moment. Then it was Blakes turn. He was not sure he liked Santa but he was not going to miss out on his present. His mean Mom told him if he didn't sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted that Santa would not bring him a present. Yes, it worked after a lot of pushing and pulling. He told Santa he wanted a choo choo train like the Polar Express, but then was mad that Santa didn't give him what he asked for. We had to inform him that Santa doesn't give him his present until Christmas. He wasn't buying it. He went home all hurt telling Daddy that Santa didn't give him a present and he even sat on his lap. He was even a little teary eyed. It broke my heart. Emma could have cared less and Santa didn't scare her one bit.

Just the children having fun in the house. It is too cold to play outside so we have to have a little fun indoors. Blake loves to ride his horse all over the house and Shaylee can't get enough of the Grandpa poses.

We had an ice storm today and man do you think we were prepared. We filled up our bathtubs so we would have water to flush toilets. We filled up all our propane tanks.Got our generator ready now that it can be useful in this house and do you think we needed it? No way we have had power all day. At least we were prepared and we could at least have a snack on the fence. Yum, icicles!!! A little dirt doesn't hurt anyone.

Ice Storms are sure beautiful, but if you are not prepared they can be the pits. We were caught in this one in January and we were not prepared. Our house was twenty degrees and I had to keep getting into our car to warm up with the kiddos. We had a generator but if you have all electric they are useless. It reeally hit us hard that you have to be prepared. We got ourselves propane heaters and now we have a fireplace in our new house that will keep us warm.

This video just made me cry. What a remarkable boy! Don't we wish, pray and hope all of us have that great of a relationship with God.

The kids think it is pretty neat that Emma is hanging out with them.

Happy Halloween! The kids had a blast Trick or Treating. Blake was saying Trick or Treat the whole way up to every house. He liked the idea of getting candy. Shaylee would get the candy run and get in the car and then tell us to hurry up. She didn't want to waste anytime.

Emma was two different things for Halloween. A cheerleader like her sister, but then it was two cold outside, so we found this piglet outfit in the closet. She was quite a cute Piglet and very warm.

Blake, of course, was a dinosaur for Halloween. As you can see he has sharp claws that he had to show in every picture. We had to bribe him in order for him to take his costume off for bed.

Shaylee is a Mizzou Tiger cheerleader or at least that is what we told these Missourians. She really is a Gilbert Tiger Cheerleader. She was doing cheers and hamming it up for the camera. She was looking all around our house for the perfect picture taking spot. I think she did a good job!

Just the Goodman Clan chilling on the floor.

Shaylee had her primary program on Sunday so we decided to braid her hair and put curlers in it to make it all curly. She was pretty impressed with her hair and wanted me to put it on the blog. Oh, and she had to wear her red dress Grandma Great made so she could twirl, I had to tell her no twirling in sacrament meeting.

Blake wanted to be a real cowboy today with his boots, shorts and neclace in hand. You better not mess with this cowboy.

Oh, isn't that sweet! Blake and Shaylee both wanted to love on Emma. As you can tell she loved it. She is used to being malled about everyday.

This is Emma's blessing day. My family, Daniel's family, and Grandpa were able to make it.

I decided to go all out this year for Halloween and get a real bat for my decorations. Just Kidding. That is really what my dad thought when they came to visit. When he went out on our back deck he found an unexpected visitor on the side of our house. We were all pretty surprised excited, and maybe a little scared!

Blake holding Emma. He has decided now that he likes her and loves helping me get her dressed. He loves to feel needed and to know that he is helping mom. After we dress her every morning he says Emma you look so beautiful!

Blake wants nothing to do with that scooter. As long as he has his three horn, a dinosaur, that Grandma Clare gave him he is happy.
