Chicken Pox!

Our little Emma has chicken pox. One day she didn't have a thing and the next day she looked like this. On her face and in her hair she probably has fifty. On day two she has them all over her body and even in her ears. She has been a reallly good sport about them and hasn't really complained. I know soon they will start to itch and I am not looking forward to that because I know she will be miserable. The worst part is we have to be cooped up in our home until they all scap over, that is the pits. I am praying that my other two do not get them. They have been vaccinated, but the Doctor told me they could still get them. Please No!!!

Shaylee's Swimming Lessons

Shaylee was the one I was worried about most at swimming lessons. She hates the water and she is always worried she is going to drown. She surprised me! She loved it and couldn't get enough of it. She was jumping in and swimming to the wall. I couldn't believe it. The Number One thing she learned was to plug her nose. As you can tell, she is well prepared before she even attempts to jump in the water. She even jumped off the diving board which was a huge deal for my Little Shaylee. We were so proud of her.

Blake's Swimming Lessons

Blake did not like swimming lessons. The first day he cried for the whole hour. Every day since he would participate if absolutely necessary with bribing for the Dollar Store. On the last day he finally opened his eyes and actually saw what the teacher looked like. That was after seven days of lessons. I think he thought it wouldn't be so bad if just didn't look at anyone. At the end of swimming lessons each day he would get in a ball at the edge of the pool and not move until I came over and picked him up. I don't know if he learned anything but open your eyes during swimming lessons. I think it might be easier to learn if you can see.

Do Mule's need Haircuts?

Daniel thinks a Mule looks really good with its hair cut short. I think it is so funny to see Daniel outside giving a "Mule" that is right a "Mule" a haircut. They are ugly animals no matter what you do, but he obviously thinks differently. I think the Mule thinks differently too because it tries to kick Daniel everytime he cuts his hair. What are you going to see next? Who knows at the Goodman household anything is possible.

Zoo Mania

We had a play date at the Zoo and had a really good time. The kids were all really good and loved seeing all the animals. Their favorite was probably the elephants, but those Monkeys came in a close second. My kids love the Zoo and Blake can't ever get enough of staring at the animals.

1st Popsicle

Emma's first popsicle was a hit. She absolutely loved it and she was mad when anyone came near her, afraid that her brother or sister might eat it. Yum Yum!

The Barn Nightmare!

Well we decided to get a barn. It was a big expense so we looked around for the right person to build it. Let's just say we definitely picked the wrong one. We started with a barn without a roof. Then a storm came, now it wasn't those tornadic storms just a small Missouri storm. Our playhouse withstood the storm so you would think the Barn would. I don't think so. It fell over to about a 45 degree angle. I couldn't believe it. So, of course, I had to do my own investigating. I went out there with my neighbor to see what went wrong. Let me tell you Everything was wrong. The main beams that support the barn were dug only 18 inches in the ground with no cement. To let you in on what it should have been let me just say that 18 inches is not the same as 36 inches, which would have been the correct depth. All the wood was warped and I wasn't going to have it. They even made us pay extra to dig threw rock and do you think they dug through the rock. Ya I didn't think so either. So when we dug the hole to see how deep they were, I happen to notice the beam was sitting on top of the rock and not in the rock. Interesting! When they came back that Monday to finish the Barn they were in for a surprise and an angry lady. They said they could just straighten it out and make it work. Well since we paid for a new barn and not a refurbished Barn, they were real happy when we made them tear the whole thing down and start from scratch. Don't think that I wasn't out there on every hole measuring to see how deep it was. So through all the Blood, Sweat and tears on their part, we finally have an upright Barn. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend them to build your Barn.

Our little Flower

Daniel does not like this hair bow because it is so big, but I just love it. He says you are suppose to wear the bow not the bow wear you. Everyone tells me how cute she is and I would have to agree. I say yes to our "little" Flower.

Summer Fun

Just the gang hanging out around the house. They love swimming in the pool and riding bikes. Emma loves getting wet clothes and all.

My Boy!

I realized I have not put a lot of pictures of my little man on my Blog. We can't leave out this Handsome boy. He is such a sweety and balances out the girls. Emma can't get enough of her brother and he plays so well with her. He is so kind to his sister and a little protective.

The Beach

The Clare Family in Costa Rica on the Beach. We had a really fun time and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I just love the Beach.

Honeymooners plus Seven

Daniel and I having fun in Costa Rica. I love the picture of us kissing because of Jacob's face. You will have to click on it to see his expression.

Daddy's Little Girl!

Daddy's little girl isn't so little anymore. Shaylee has probably been my hardest challenge but than so worth it. She can be hard but then so sweet. I am enjoying her and am learning to love her strong personality. It makes her unique and wonderful. She loves her Daddy and loves when her Dad gives her his undivided attention.

Emma's favorite drawer

Emma loves playing in my kitchen drawers. So I had to do some rearranging and put all the sippy cups in the bottom drawer. She thinks it is so much fun to throw them all out of the drawer and them put them all back. It is fun how the little things amuse children.

Want a Ride?

Shaylee and Blake are riding a fishing boat if you can't tell. Shaylee is paddling with our rain gutter while Blake is fishing with a broken arrow. They were out in the sidewalk lake forever. That though their picnic table boat was so cool!!

Beware of the French Fry!

I gave Emma a french fry and didn't realize how hot it was. All of a sudden she started crying and I was worried that it might be too hot. We were driving so I couldn't take it back. She kept crying and I wondered what was going on. When we got home I went to get her out and the french fry was on her leg. She dropped it because it was to hot and it sat on her leg burning her all the way home. What a terrible mother I am. I never would have thought a french fry would be that hot to make this kind of burn.

Preschool

This is Shaylee and her Preschool teacher Mrs. Reed. Shaylee absolutely loves her and is so sad school will be over tomorrow. I could have not asked for a better teacher for my Shaylee. She was so sweet and loving but yet strict and that is what Shaylee needs. She teared up today thinking about not having Mrs. Reed as a teacher. Don't we all wish we could always have these kinds of teachers for our children.

Pretend Play

Shaylee and I were playing house. I was her neighbor and I had to watch her child so she could take her other child to the doctor. Her sick chil'd name is "Boy". I told her how sorry I was tha her child was sick. She told me he has diarrhea. I said oh really. She said, Yeah and it is making him have trouble breathing. Wow, I didn't know that diarrhea causes trouble breathing. SHe said, " Yes and he also has a serious disease. "Oh No, I said, what could that be. She said, " He has allergies!" "You better rush him to the doctor, I said, it sounds pretty bad!" I just got a kick out of this story. She was sure serious and just had to see the Doctor about this. I think all of us think allergies are a serious matter during the spring season. Out of the mouth of babes- I just love the things that are rolling around in their brains.
