Easter Fun!

The Easter bunny came to our house and left little treasures for the kiddos. Blake was sick with a fever and congestion but we still managed to have a great time.

Shaylee got a kite and jumprope from the Easter Bunny. She has been jumping ever since.

Blake got a frisby and kite from the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny shops in the Dollar section of course.

Emma got books, glow sticks and a kite. Those dollar kites did not fly so good and the weather conditions were perfect for kite flying. We might have to invest in a little better kites next year. Come on Easter Bunny!!

We decorated Eggs and Blake was the only one that would pose with his eggs for me. He was a little proud of his eggs and wanted to sleep with them. Mom said, "I don't think so!"

The Zoo

We had a fun time at the Zoo with the Brooks family.

Emma was Tara's sidekick. She wouldn't go anywhere without Tara holding her hand. She was just a little frightened by the giraffes.

We got to get right next to the giraffes and they about licked Shaylee's head right off. You can tell she is a little leary of them.

Posing for the picture. They had a great time even though it was a bit chilly.

My children hamming it up before the Brooks showed up. Shaylee always likes to do the Grandpa Pose so we will dedicate this picture to Grandpa Great.

Nice Weather!!

Bed hair, we just had to show her in all her glory.

Blake and Emma playing in the dirt. She loves playing dinosaurs with him.

Shaylee seeing how high she can go on the swings.

Blake making a mess in the dirt. He loves to pull up our grass.

Emma has to always wear her boots or glass slippers. Today just happened to be the boots. We don't care if it matched at least we got shoes on her.

Grandma and Papa Clare

They loved riding with Grandpa on the golf cart. They thought they were really something and by the end of the trip Emma was Grandpa's right hand man. This was their most favorite thing and loved when Grandpa would take them. Thankyou, Grandpa!!!!!!!

Grandma is the one who spoils my kids and they eat it all up. They had a great time at Grandma and Papa's house and hated when we had to go.

Arizona

We love visiting our family in Arizona. Aunt Wendy and Grandma spoil my children and make them look cute in their outfits that aren't from Walmart.

Shaylee enjoying her cousin Landon. They sure love spending time with their cousins. We hardly ever see the kids because they are to busy getting in as much play time as they can.

Tyler, Blake, and Emma in the toy room at Grandma's and Papa's. They had a great time and Tyler and Blake played really well together.

Irrigation!!!! The highlight of the trip for my children. They absolutely loved playing in the irrigation and thought it was just a big swimming pool. Jana came over with her son Grayson and it was a lot of fun spending some time with her.

They had a great time with their cousins and we wish we could see them more.

Blake and Emma

Blake is so good with his sister Emma. She can't wait for him to get home from Preschool. He will play with her and read her books and she treasures every minute. She just doesn't like to have to share his attention with Shaylee. She enjoys the time she has alone with him.

Shaylee Capturing Every Moment

What can I say, a Dentist really does enjoy brushing his teeth. It relaxes him, he might just fall asleep.

Our little princess. She loves to dress up, with crown, shoes and the dress. When we want her to put on real clothes Shaylee has to tell her she looks like Cinderella and her shoes are glass slippers. She will then cooperate everytime.

Shaylee and Emma just posing for a picture from Blake the photographer in training. Who is training him, the one the only Miss Shaylee.

Blake working on his poses. You might see him in commercials or magazines some day.

Emma just cheesing it up for Shaylee. She always sneeks off with my camera and then when I download pictures this is what I find.

Nice close-up of our cute not so little boy.

Shaylee had Dr. Suess day at school so we had to dress up like Cindy Lou-who. Her and her cousin Mackenzie decided to match. They were calling eachother that morning to make sure the other one was going to do it.

Emma's new dress. Shaylee and Emma got matching dresses. Pictures to come. Yes, we now shop in the big girls for Emma's dresses. She is wearing Shaylee's handmedowns(sp) from the fall. I think she might Pass our Little Miss Shaylee in size sooner than later.

Blake showing off how he plays Dinosaurs. He is still quite into those things and will play for hours.

All the Single Ladies!

Shaylee got to dance with our Elecktra Blue Dancers at a High School boys basketball game. The Elektra Blue Dancers is the dance team for our high school. They had a workshop for about three hours and then got to perform what they learned. Shaylee had the time of her life and loved that she got to dance to a song from the sqeequal (s/p). Of course her Mom got down right in front of her so I could get a good picture.

Cute little Emma

Shaylee was so proud of herself, she dressed Emma and did her hair. Emma is so good to just sit there and let her doll her up. Emma is practicing for the baby, look how careful she holds her little baby. We love our cute little Emma!

Have you heard of freezing fog?

I have never heard of frezzing fog but this is what we got one morning this week. It looks kind of like ice. It was pretty to look at and even better when it means we are not at risk of power outages.

Let it Snow!

We got a lot of snow, for Missouri, and so Daniel decided to make the biggest snowman ever. Usually the snow is to dry to do anything but this time it was perfect. The kids had a blast making it and we all pitched in. Emma was at Grandma's so she didn't get to help with all the fun. Our neighbor even called and told Shaylee that was the biggest snowman she had ever seen. I think it made Shaylee and Blake's day. We had fun and at the end Daniel was pooped and decided he would take a nap in the snow.

Fancy Nancy

Shaylee was invited to a Posh Party and we had no idea what that was. So we looked it up online and found out it was a Fancy Nancy Party. Fancy Nancy is a character in a book. SO we got all dolled up and she had a blast at the party except she really was the only one that was dressed up. I think we went a little over board but I thought that is what we were suppose to do. Some other girls had dresses on but that was it. Shaylee didn't mind because she said I know I look dang cute. That is something Shaylee would say.

Minnesota Trip

We decided to do something crazy this year and went to Minnesota. We had a great time at the Mall of America, went sledding and skiing, went to an indoor waterpark, and an Underwater Aquarium. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it. We haven't taken a family trip in forever and thought it would be fun to go where it is freezing cold. Daniel booked us a fabulous hotel for dang cheap and it was right next to the Mall of America. We had free breakfast with biscuits, sausage, bacon, gravy, cinnamon rolls, and even waffles. We felt pretty spoiled. There was a Theme Park right in the middle of the Mall and Shaylee was able to ride every single ride. We didn't think she would do some because they were pretty scary. She would have made Jacob proud, she is a daredevil like him. Daniel was the one wanting to stop not Shaylee. Blake was able to see a real live Octopus and how they feed it. He was pretty intrigued. The tubing was a blast and the kids loved it. It was nice because they had a lift so you didn't have to walk up the mountain. The only bummer was they didn't let Emma ride so we had to take turns just pulling her around the bottom of the hill. Daniel skiied and the kids thought their Dad was amazing. Even after knee surgery, he still looked good out there skiing. The trip was fun and we are glad we ended up going.

Blake's Christmas Program

He was so cute at his program. He told me if he didn't sing he was going to get a piece of that black stuff in his stocking. He loves his teacher Mrs. Reed and she is so good with Blake. We just absolutely love her and I hope all my kids get her. I think Blake makes the cutest Rudolph. He couldn't wait for the end of the program so he could eat all the snacks the class made for the parents. I couldn't tell if Blake was more excited to eat or our sweet Emma.

Priceless

Our children love to read books andthis photo captures it perfectly. Sometimes it is the little things that make their day. I came in to the room to see all the children fascinated with Daniel reading them a book. It really is so important to take time out of our busy day just to spend a couple minutes with our children. This is what they will remember and look forward to doing.

Rebecca got me this Christmas tree last year at an after Christmas sale. I had no idea how big this thing was. Daniel had to get me a huge ladder, not a step ladder a window washing , huge ladder to put this puppy up. It took me three hours just to separate the branches. Ridiculous I know. It was sure pretty but I think I am going to have to leave it up all year and just decorate for each holiday because it was so much work. I would recommend getting a small tree.
